On 14th January St Mark’s school’s annual ski trip headed to Claviere (Italy) for a week of fun, skiing and self discovery. There was a mix of students from those who had never skied before to those who had been a couple of times.
All students made great progress during the week and all students were going down red runs ( a difficult slope ) as early as day 3 of skiing which was quite remarkable. The instructor said it had been the best group of students she had taught in a very long time.
The evening activities include riding on skidoos to a mountain cafe for host chocolate and a pizza night in an Italian restaurant. All students learnt a lot about themselves during the week and developed resilience, personal challenge and inner confidence which was great to see. All students were a credit to themselves and everybody had a brilliant time.
