Class of 2021 Celebrating GCSE Accomplishments at St Mark’s School
Judging by how hard they worked during their time at the school we had high expectations of our GCSE Class of 2021. Today they celebrated the grades they had worked so hard to achieve.
This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. Although our students were disappointed not to sit the exams they had prepared so well for, it was a memorable experience celebrating their results with them. They worked relentlessly during what has been a challenging and unpredictable year.
Whilst we are proud of all of our students’ achievements, the following students deserve recognition for achieving top grades across a range of different subjects:
Grace B achieved top grades 8-9 across all of her subjects, with 11 grade 9s and 8s.
Josh G achieved top grades 8-9 across all of his subjects, with 11 grade 9s and 8s.
Toby C achieved top grades 7-9 across all of his subjects, including 9 grade 9s and 8s.
Florent M achieved top grades 7-9 across all of his subjects, including 8 grade 9s and 8s.
Flora J achieved top grades 7-9 across all of her subjects, including 8 grade 9s and 8s.
The St Mark’s School vision is geared around being the best you can be, at all times, in everything you do. Many congratulations to the Class of 2021; we are incredibly proud of you and we all wish you every success in the next stage of your journeys.
The school’s Headteacher, Barnaby Ash, commented, “We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future. I would like to thank our amazing staff team for all of their hard work with our students last year; they have been incredible in supporting our students. Our Class of 2021 deserve great credit for their outstanding achievements.”
