Celebrating Students’ GCSE Accomplishments at St Mark’s, Bath

Students at St Mark’s, Bath, were celebrating having received their GCSE results after months of uncertainty. Our Class of 2020 worked relentlessly and were conscientious when acting on teachers’ advice throughout their GCSE years. They fully deserve great credit for their achievements.

Despite all the national arguments about grading methodologies, we are delighted to acknowledge and applaud their achievements. The St Mark’s School vision is geared around being the best you can be, in everything you do, at all times. The Class of 2020 has provided a blueprint of success and lasting legacy for their peers in future year groups.

Many congratulations Class of 2020! Your teachers and support staff, who have also worked so hard to support you, are incredibly proud of you and we all wish you every success in the next stage of your journeys.

The school’s Headteacher, Barnaby Ash, commented:

We are immensely proud of all our students and their GCSE achievements. After the disappointment at not being able to take their exams and show-case the knowledge and skills they acquired, I am delighted that they will be able to thrive with their future endeavours. We missed them as soon as they had to leave prematurely, but have fond memories of their time with us and are delighted with the legacy they have left in the school.

“I would like to thank our amazing staff team for all of their hard work with our students last year; they have been incredible in supporting our students throughout their GCSE years and during the turbulence of the last few months.”
