Students vote with their feet for Climate Action

The students of St Mark’s School made their voices

heard this afternoon in a spirited and enthusiastic demonstration in support of the Climate Strikes being held across the country.

A year 11 student said,” This is important to us because I believe we should have a future to look forward to – this demonstration is to let the local people of Larkhall know that our school cares about climate change”
The students made a noisy procession around the neighbourhood with banners aloft, chanting voices, drums banging, megaphone blaring and in response cars horns blasting along Baytree Road and our local neighbours waving and cheering.

Mr Ash, HeadTeacher, said he was proud to lead a school community which supports and informs students in their education and ambition for a better future.
