The Sanctuary

Located in TK3, our School Chaplaincy space is aptly named ‘The Sanctuary.’ It serves as a peaceful haven for students, staff, and families, providing a dedicated space for quiet contemplation and reflection. The room is designed for flexibility and comfort; featuring soft furnishings, subdued lighting, and gentle music. It offers a warm, informal environment that is well-utilised during break and lunchtimes.

The Sanctuary is led by our School Chaplain, Mrs Sam Packer, who facilitates a range of pastoral activities designed to support students emotionally throughout their journey at St Mark’s. Regular weekly sessions provide guidance and a sense of community. This includes our participation in the Church of England’s Flourish Project; every Wednesday morning during tutor time, a student group meets to discuss Collective Worship, explore biblical perspectives, and reflect on their personal responses. Sam is supported in this project by Rev. Susannah Padiachy of St Saviour’s Church.

Sam is available for confidential meetings throughout the week. For further information or to discuss your child’s needs, please contact Sam Packer at spacker@stmarks.mnsp.org.uk.
