Class of 2025 Celebrate Brilliant GCSE Accomplishments

St Mark’s School is delighted to be celebrating a fantastic set of results by its students in their GCSE exams this summer. We are incredibly proud of all our students who have put in so much hard work. The students have achieved 71.2% at grade 9 – 4 in English and 65.2% at grade 9 – 4 in Maths. Their performance across a whole range of subjects was impressive and the progress that students have made from their starting points is incredible!

Judging by how hard they worked during their time at the school, we had exceptionally high expectations of our GCSE Class of 2025; today they celebrated the grades they worked so hard to achieve.

Whilst we are proud of all of our students’ achievements, the following students deserve recognition for achieving top grades across a range of different subjects:

● Harry S who secured the top grade of 9 in 5 subjects and an 8 in 3 subjects
● Sara M who secured the top grade of 9 in 4 subjects and a grade 8 in 3 subjects
● George C who achieved the top grades of 8/9 in 7 subjects
● Ellis S who achieved Grades 7+ in 9 subjects
● Reuben S who achieved Grades 7+ in 6 subjects
● Tabetha D-W and Grace W-H who both achieved Grades 7+ in 5 subjects

In total, 24.9% of all grades were grade 7 or above, across all subjects.

The school’s Headteacher, Clare England, commented,

“We are immensely proud of our Year 11 students’ achievements and of the way in which they conducted themselves through the exams. All of that hard work has really paid off and I am delighted to see so many students excelling! They have done all that we have asked of them to achieve so well and as a result, have done themselves, their parents and St Mark’s proud!

We would also like to say a big thank you to our parents who have encouraged and supported their children to do their best. Our teachers have also worked tirelessly in school to ensure that our students are now able to progress onto their chosen next steps, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.

St Mark’s has been on an amazing journey of improvement since joining the Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership. The school is categorised as a ‘Good’ school by OFSTED and also by SIAMS; both inspections validated the wonderful work of the St Mark’s staff team.

The school’s vision is geared around promoting self-worth in students to inspire them to live well, achieve their goals and be a force for good both in school and the world beyond. Our Year 11 Class of 2025 have proved, unequivocally, that St Mark’s is a school that supports students to achieve the very best exam results across all academic subjects and to make fantastic progress along their school journey.
