Cambridge Nationals in Creative iMedia are media sector-focused, including film, television, web development, gaming and animation, and have IT at their heart.
They provide knowledge in a number of key areas in this field from pre-production skills to digital animation and have a motivating, hands-on approach to both teaching and learning.
Cambridge Nationals deliver skills across the whole range of learning styles and abilities, effectively engaging and inspiring all students to achieve great things.
Cambridge Nationals in Creative iMedia Certificate is 120 glh requiring four units to be studied.
R081: Pre-Production Skills – assessed with a written exam paper, marked externally. I hour and 15 minutes. This exam can be sat twice and the best result will count towards the final grade.
R081: Creating Digital Graphics – assessed with a coursework portfolio, marked internally. Approximately 10 hours of work
The two units in Year 11 are yet to be definitely decided but will possibly be:
R085: Creating a multimedia website – assessed with a coursework portfolio, marked internally. Approximately 10 hours of work
R087: Creative interactive multimedia products – assessed with a coursework portfolio, marked internally. Approximately 10 hours of work
