Year 6 Taster Day

On Monday 15th September, 120 pupils from St Saviour’s Junior School, St Stephen’s Primary and Swainswick Primary, joined students at St Mark’s Church of England School for a day of lessons and activities.

The aim of the event was to introduce them to life at St Mark’s School, ahead of their move from Primary to Secondary school in September 2015.

Pupils were challenged to design and make packaging, suitable for holding an egg whilst dropping it from height – all without smashing the egg! There were a number of successful designs and one or two not so successful. A truly egg-static time was had by all (groan!).

Pupils also tried their hands at cooking, orienteering, French and print-making, using traditional techniques in our Art Department.
